Plot Summary:

Legendary car thief/booster Randall “Memphis” Raines (Nicolas Cage) retired from the criminal life in 1995. Now five years later after Auto Thieft in the greater Los Angeles/Long Beach district went down by 47%, his brother, Kip Raines (Giovanni Ribisi) takes over “the job”, employed by British car broker Raymond Calitri. When one night Kip messes up stealing some cars, Memphis gets called back to the life he got out of. His most impossible mission: Steal 50 exotic cars all over Los Angeles and Long Beach and deliver them to Long Beach Harbor, Pier 14 by 8:00am, Friday morning, on the button, or watch Calitri kill Kip. And so Memphis, with the help of longtime friend Otto Halliwell (Robert Duvall) reassembles his old crew which includes sexy Sara “Sway” Wayland” (Academy award-winner Angelina Jolie), a renegade white-haired mechanic by day, bartender by night, to pull off the biggest mission ever. The only problem is the LAPD G.R.A.B. (Governor’s Regional Auto Bureau) is on the lookout and Dt. Roland Castlebeck (Delroy Lindo) and his partner are keeping close eyes on Memphis and his team. Can the team pull this assignment off and collect $200,000 in cash? Will Kip finally realize that car boosting is dangerous? And can Memphis escape Castlebeck and the cops? Plot Summary:

Plot Summary:

1799: Ichabod Crane is a constable from New York who is most concerned with all the new scientific gadgets that will allow him to do his job better. However, he is quite squeamish about his latest assignment: traveling to the town of Sleepy Hollow, where there have been a series of murders involving people whose heads have been cut off. The locals believe it is the work of the legendary Headless Horseman. Plot Summary:

Miles Logan is a jewel thief. Things go awry while he’s stealing a huge diamond in downtown L.A.: a thief, Deacon, tries a double-cross, the police arrive, and Miles is arrested, but not before he hides the jewel in an air duct of a building under construction. Two years’ later, he’s out of prison and he heads for the site: it’s L.A.’s new police headquarters! Plot Summary:

Aboard a commercial airliner, U.S. Marshall Pete Nessip and his brother Terry, a fellow marshal, are escorting prison inmate Earl Leedy, who is a computer wizard, to a high-security prison. When an apparent terrorist hijack attempt blows a hole in the airplane, Terry is sucked out to his death, and the terrorists parachute out of the same hole, taking Leedy with them. A devastated Pete is blamed for overreacting to the incident, and he’s forced to turn in his badge. Pete believes that the assault may have been an elaborate prison break meant to free Leedy. Renegade skydiver and former DEA agent Ty Moncrief is the mastermind behind the attack, which culminated in the first-ever parachute jump from a commercial jet at 30,000 feet. Ty plans to use Leedy to hack into the DEA mainframe computer in Washington DC, so Ty can auction off the names of undercover agents to drug cartels worldwide. Ty has scheduled this to be accomplished during an Independence Day parachute exhibition and fireworks display, which is the one day every year when security is loosened around the airspace above Washington DC. Because skydiving played a part in the airplane hijacking, Pete finds his way to Jessie Crossman, a world-class skydiver and ex-con, whose ex-husband Jagger, unknown to all, is part of Ty’s crew. Jessie agrees to train Pete how to skydive, if he will sponsor her team for the parachute exhibition. When Jessie’s parachuting friend Selkirk is severely injured after using a faulty parachute that Ty had intended for Jessie to use, Pete is appointed to take Selkirk’s place. When Jagger is found dead, tangled in some high-voltage power lines, it’s obvious that his death was a murder engineered by Ty, and with Pete’s help, Jessie seeks revenge on Ty.

Plot Summary:

Twenty years ago, 8-year-old Emma Brody’s abusive mother smashed Emma’s face into a bathroom mirror just for pilfering in the mother’s makeup drawer. Today, Emma is an independent, self-assured woman who plays violin in a popular Celtic folk band in Chicago. Emma lives life on her own terms, only without sight — the result of the traumatic injuries to her eyes at the hands of her mother. Luckily for Emma, medical science has vaulted a quantum leap in the past two decades. Now, thanks to corneal implants installed by her kindly eye surgeon, Dr. Ryan Pierce, Emma can see again. Emma’s sight is at first cloudy, and she suffers from “retroactive hallucinations,” a clinically documented syndrome in which the newly sighted sometimes “see” things hours, or even days, after they actually happen. This becomes a big problem when Emma sees a suspicious man leaving her neighbor’s apartment at 4AM, but his features appear to her only in flashback later that morning. After failing to get a response at the neighbor’s door, Emma tries to convince detective John Hallstrom and his partner Tom Ridgely to check things out. At first, Hallstrom dismisses Emma as a nutcase, but when the cops finally arrive on the scene, they find the guy murdered, using the same MO as a series of killings that Hallstrom and Ridgely are already investigating. Emma herself is in danger, because she’s the only person who can identify the killer. Hallstrom’s colleagues remain doubtful because Emma’s vision flawed. When the killer begins to stalk Emma, Hallstrom has her placed under police protection, and the two soon become lovers while Hallstrom tries to figure out who the killer is.
