Plot Summary:
When young Violet finally follows her dream and moves to New York to become a songwriter, she knows little about the big city. All her efforts to get a demo tape to a producer are useless, additionally her apartment is broken in to, leaving her with nothing. But a coincidence leads her to Coyote Ugly, a night club where only beautiful women call the shots, using their female attraction to drive the guests just crazy. Violet manages to get a position and starts learning the ways of the city. After getting in trouble because of a misunderstanding, Violet’s new friend Kevin tries to rid her of her stage fear so that she can perform her songs herself. Violet’s father Bill does not like her new job as well as her leaving him, but it’s all part of growing up.

Plot Summary:
Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski is the ultimate LA slacker, until one day his house is broken into and his rug is peed on by two angry gangsters who have mistaken him for Jeffrey Lebowski, the LA millionaire, whose wife owes some bad people some big money. The Dude becomes entangled in the plot when he goes to visit the real Lebowski in order to get some retribution for his soiled rug, and is recruited to be the liason between Lebowski and the captors of his now “kidnapped” wife.

Plot Summary:
The Gecko brothers are fugitives, and are on the run after a very interesting bank robbery. They kidnap the Fuller family, and drive to a Mexican bar to meet with other on-the-run criminals. It turns out the crooks in the bar are vampires, and if the Gecko brothers and the Fuller family can survive from dusk until dawn, the “crooks” will let em’ go. Harry Tasker is a spy. Presently, he is working on a case involving nuclear warheads in the possession of terrorists. Now his wife doesn’t know what he does; as far as she is concerned, he is a computer salesman. Now Harry came close to apprehending the leader of the terrorists but he got away and knows who he is. While Harry tries to pick up his trail, he inadvertently overhead his wife, Helen talking about having a “boyfriend”. So, he uses his resources to find out who this guy is. And he learns that he is a car salesman pretending to be what Harry is. When Helen goes to one of their rendezvous, Harry stages an attack on them. He then from behind a shroud, that she could be sent to prison unless she does something for them–plant a bug in a guy’s phone. Now she does what she is told but unknown to her the man in the room is Harry, she was about to leave when the terrorists break into the room and take them away. It is there that she finds out who and what Harry is, and it’s a good thing cause the terrorists plan to kill when they are through with them.

Plot Summary:
When Waring Hudsucker, head of hugely successful Hudsucker Industries, commits suicide, his board of directors, led by Sidney Mussberger, comes up with a brilliant plan to make a lot of money: appoint a moron to run the company. When the stock falls low enough, Sidney and friends can buy it up for pennies on the dollar, take over the company, and restore its fortunes. They choose idealistic Norville Barnes, who just started in the mail room. Norville is whacky enough to drive any company to ruin, but soon, tough reporter Amy Archer smells a rat and begins an undercover investigation of Hudsucker Industries.

Plot Summary:
Former rock star and San Francisco nightclub owner Johnny Boz is found murdered in his bed. Detective Nick Curran is assigned to the case; he has a history of alcoholism and drug abuse although he is clean now. The prime suspect is Catherine Tramell, an attractive and manipulative novelist who had been seeing Boz for a while. Police psychiatrist Beth Gardner (who happens to be Nick’s ex-girlfriend) is brought in on the case when it is discovered that Boz’s murder was copied directly from one of Catherine’s novels. Nick starts to get too involved and everyone seems to be a suspect.
